FULLER’S CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF VINTAGE ALE

LONDON…Ten years ago, the brewmasters at Fuller’s, London’s oldest brewery, decided to create something special for the holiday season. They handpicked the finest quality ingredients, sparing no expense as they lovingly crafted a truly exceptional beer. The result? Fuller’s Vintage Ale, which today is an annual offering recognized as one of the world’s most outstanding beers and a must-have for beer lovers worldwide.

The 2006 version, the tenth Vintage Ale to be brewed, combines the finest Fuggles and Super Styrian hops, floor malted Optic malt and Fuller’s unique yeast to create a tapestry of rich, spicy flavours.

Orange, citrus and fruitcake notes are all present, and are balanced well with the
biscuity, creamy malt flavours leaving a soft and warming finish.

This year, Fuller’s Vintage Ale is available in a stand-alone box for $7.99 or as part of an elegant three-pack. The three-packs are a refined, thin, brushed-black, microfiber, board box. They make an elegant presentation for gift giving and retail for approximately $24. Pricing may vary market to market.

John Roberts, managing director of Fuller’s Beer Company, said: “I’m incredibly proud of this beer. When our former head brewer, Reg Drury, and I thought up the idea of a Vintage Ale back in 1996, neither of us could have imagined the impact it would have on beer drinkers worldwide.

“Vintage Ale regularly receives maximum points from reviewers, and has become the ale connoisseur’s beer of choice, not just in the UK, but across the world.”

John Keeling, Fuller’s head brewer, said: “Using the best ingredients from each year makes Vintage Ale a truly complex and immense beer and, being bottleconditioned, the flavour changes and develops after bottling.

“It’s a joy to brew, but even more of a joy to drink. I’d recommend buying at least two bottles, one to drink now and others to try in the future so you can experience the changes yourself.”
